07/03/2024: S1.E17: The Caucastic State of Georgia and the White Washing of Lake Lanier

The Pandemonium crew is back and more unhinged than ever!

In this episode, Rachel, Cat, and Cat’s husband Josh wade into the dark, blood-chilling history of Lake Lanier - a place as infamous for its eerie drownings as it is for the town buried beneath it.

We’re talking murder (obviously), shady construction, submerged cemeteries, rampant racism, and a disturbing number of false police reports.

What was once the thriving Black community of Oscarville became a drowned graveyard - and the lake above it now seems to thirst for lives.

From ghost stories to lynching to the curse people swear still lingers, we’re pulling back the murky waters to reveal a past some would rather forget.

Warning: This episode contains discussions of racial violence and death. Listener discretion is advised.

07/05/2024: S1.E18: Murder in Matrimony: The Strange Case of Christina Kettlewel

The Pandemonium crew is back and diving headfirst into another wildly unhinged tale - this time, we’re heading to 1940s Canada for a story packed with murder (duh), rushed weddings, codeine-laced tea, and a suspiciously scenic cabin in the woods.

08/14/2024: S1.E31: The Unsolved Case of Rachel Hansen

Today's episode was a very emotional one and one that we were so grateful to be able to research and cover.

Today, we recorded an episode about Rachel Hansen, who was just 19 years old when she passed away - 8 days before her 20th birthday. Not only was Rachel an amazing human and a beautiful soul, she was the embodiment of sunshine. She always went out of her way to help people, and was often donating her time and energy to help others in need.

Along with that, her mom and dad, Kim and Todd Hansen, started a dog rescue in her honor named Rachel's Rescue. They have helped home over 200 dogs since they opened and have helped many more with their emotional and mental needs.

If you have any information to help capture her killer, please contact Silent Witness: 480-WIT-NESS or 480-948-6377 Or reach out to them online at: www.silentwitness.org

The Pandemonium team is back with our latest unhinged episode - and yes, it’s time for merder once again. This week, we’re sipping something deadly as we head to 1950s Australia to uncover the sweet-yet-sinister story of Caroline "Carrie" Grills.

Join Rachel and Cat as they explore the unsettling case of a grandmotherly killer with a taste for poison, comfort care gone wrong, and family members who never saw it coming.

From laced tea trays to dying relatives and deceptive smiles, this case proves that not all killers look the part.

Put the kettle on… just maybe don’t drink from it.

09/06/2024: S1.E35: Love Letters and Lye: The Bloody Trail of Belle Gunness

The Pandemonium team is back with another unhinged dose of merder - and this time, we’re heading to the dark heart of Indiana farmland, where pigs weren’t the only ones being fed.

Join Rachel and Cat as they unearth the chilling story of Belle Gunness, the towering Black Widow of La Porte who lured unlucky suitors through lovelorn ads, and then made sure they never left.

With whispers of insurance fraud, suspicious fires, chopped-up corpses, and a body count that keeps rising, this case is anything but quaint.

She looked like a sweet mother - but she was hiding a butcher’s heart.

09/13/2024: S1.E36: MERDER Down Under: Babies, Bunny Feet, & Bloodshed in New Zealand

The Pandemonium crew is back and utterly unhinged in this wild ride of an episode - and yes, we’re talking about MERDER!

This week, Rachel, Cat, and Meg take you from the eerily peaceful hills of 1990s Aramoana to the disturbingly quaint countryside of 1880s New Zealand, where hobbits roam and secrets fester.

We’re diving headfirst into the tragic story of mass shooter David Gray, before hopping back in time to meet Minnie Dean - baby farmer, lean-to dweller, and one suspiciously polite lady with a very deadly habit.

Expect talk of rabbit's feet, hobbit holes, babies in chef hats (don’t ask), and the kind of historical horror that makes your skin crawl.

Come for the chaos, stay for the crime - and maybe bring a blanket. This one gets weird.

The Pandemonium team is back with a Case Exclusive Update - and this one will shake you to your core.

In today’s episode, we return to the cold corridors of the English healthcare system, where neonatal nurse Lucy Letby betrayed the very oath she took to protect. Acting as judge, jury, and executioner, Letby stands accused of the unthinkable: ending the lives of the most vulnerable infants in her care.

Join Cat, Rachel, and our special guest Sylvia as they unpack the latest developments in this deeply disturbing and ongoing case.

From courtroom updates to the chilling psychology behind the crimes, this is one episode you won’t want to miss - but may need to take breaks from.

09/20/2024: S1.E28: So We Saw An Axe Murder: Eight Victims. One Axe. No Answers.

The Pandemonium crew is back with another delightfully unhinged episode - and this time, we’re serving MERDER with a side of haunted real estate. Join Rachel, Cat, and Em as we hack our way into one of America’s most chilling cold cases: the Villisca Axe Murders.

Set in the eerie stillness of rural Iowa in the early 1880's (ish), we’re talking about a whole family slaughtered in their beds, vagrant suspects, face mutilation, and a house that may still be holding a grudge. Isolated farmhouses, unlit roads, and a killer who vanished into the night - what more could you ask for?

So grab your EMF detectors and lock your doors… it’s about to get axe-identally terrifying.

09/27/2024: S1.E39: Again With Sweet Tea & Arsenic: The Crimes of Bertha Gifford

The Pandemonium team is back - and this time, we’re stirring up trouble in turn-of-the-century Missouri.

In this deliciously deranged episode, Rachel, Cat, and Em unravel the chilling tale of Bertha Gifford: a seemingly sweet old woman with a thing for baking…and poisoning.

We’re talking arsenic, a trail of sick (and suddenly dead) neighbors, some suspicious caretaking, and a body count that just kept rising. Add in a little cheating, a lot of bedside “compassion,” and a whole mess of secrets, and you’ve got Missouri’s first serial killer - and yep, she’s a lady.

Pull up a rocking chair and pour yourself something not made by Bertha. You’re gonna need it.

10/02/2024: S1.E40: Knocking Caskets: Tales from Tunnels to the French Quarter

The Pandemonium team is back with another unhinged episode - and this time, we’re diving headfirst into the eerie, the unexplained, and the downright weird.

Welcome to October - Pandemonium style. That’s right! We're discussing Cryptids, hauntings, and all things Spoopy for the ENTIRE month of October!

This episode we go from deep mining tunnels to French Cajun Louisiana, chasing the spooky trail of folklore, old wives’ tales, and unsettling local legends.

This week, Rachel and Cat crack open the chilling stories of the Tommy Knockers - the mischievous (and maybe murderous) cousins of leprechauns - and the haunting mystery of Louisiana’s Casket Girls and their rumored vampiric ties.

We’re talking empanadas, crosses, boarding houses, and a whole lot of creepy.

So grab your garlic, pour a drink, and settle in as we feed the Fae, confront some haunted nuns, and dig into the bones of folklore.

10/04/2024: S1.E41: Sealed Fates & Weeping Wives: With LaLa (we don't dare say her name) & Kelpies

The Pandemonium team is back with another dripping wet episode just in time for spooky season - and this time, we’re diving even deeper into the haunted waters of CRYPTID CHAOS. From eerie old wives’ tales to the soul-snatching sisters of the sea, Rachel and Cat are unraveling the haunting legends of La Llorona and the Kelpies.

We’re talking fishermen, seal skin, shapeshifters, and ghostly women with tears (and vengeance) to spare. It’s the second installment in our October Special Haunting Episodes: Women in Water - where hitchhiking ghosts lure men to their doom, and mythical seals might just be your long-lost wife.

Join Cat and Rachel as they unravel the horrifying story of the women who vanished, the shocking evidence he left behind, and how one appearance on The Dating Game gave a serial killer nationwide exposure. What secrets did his camera capture? How did he get away with it for so long? And how did his crimes scar a generation?

Content note: This episode contains discussion of sexual violence, murder, and disturbing imagery. Listener discretion is strongly advised.

01/24/2025: S1.E63: Ghost Ships, Safety Drills, and Tom’s Rusty Lost Ball Bearings

The Pandemonium team is back with another episode full of chaos, cackles, and cursed vessels. This time, we’re diving headfirst into a haunted tale from before the birth of the pod - one that’s equal parts spooky and unhinged.

Join Cat, Rachel, and guest co-host Meg as they unpack the caucasity of Girl Scouts in haunted hulls, ghostly apparitions of war-torn spirits, and the questionable nonsense that is maritime law.

From collisions with cruise ships to cursed state rooms and ships that really shouldn’t still be floating, we’re talking about the haunted USS Alabama, the notoriously spooky Queen Mary, and all the paranormal drama in between.

Ghosts, giggles, and just a dash of existential dread - this is one voyage you won’t want to miss.

1/31&2/07/2025: S1.E63/64: The House of Horrors: Funk, Thorn, & the Unforgivable Crimes of the Wests

The Pandemonium team is back with the brutal conclusion to one of the most horrifying cases we've ever covered: the story of Funk and Thorn - Fred and Rose West.

In this episode, Cat and Rachel return to the depths of depravity as they cover the victims who never got justice, the final arrest that took way too long, and the devastating legacy left in the wake of the Wests’ crimes. We also (unfortunately) deliver the worst family-related joke in the history of this podcast... and possibly ever.

We’ve officially lost our spoons. Again.

2/14/25: S1.E66: Ogress of Reading: Baby Farms, the Cabbage Patch Killer, & the Butcher of Innocence

The Pandemonium team is back with an episode so revolting, we had to take a break mid-recording just to emotionally recover.

That’s right - this one left even Cat speechless.

Join Rachel, Cat, and Em as we dive headfirst into the truly stomach-churning story of Amelia Dyer, the Victorian-era baby farmer turned mass murderer who terrorized England from the 1860s to the 1890s. We’re talking child abuse, systemic failure, serial un-alivings, and a sewer system that saw far too much.

With multiple arrests that led nowhere, forged paperwork, and a trail of heartbreak masked as charity, this story is full of lying liars who lie - and babies who never stood a chance.

04/11/2025: S1.E74: The Killer Nurse Who Turned a Retirement Home into a Morgue: The Amy Archer-Gill

The Pandemonium team is back, and this time, we’re talking about one of history’s OG black widows - a sweet little lady who loved taking care of the elderly… right up until they mysteriously dropped dead.

Amy Archer-Gilligan ran a cozy little "rest home" in Connecticut, where the elderly could live out their golden years in peace. The only problem? They didn’t last long.

With an alarming number of residents dying suspiciously fast (and right after signing over their life savings), people started asking questions - like why Amy was buying arsenic by the bucket.

Join Rachel, Cat, and Em as they dive into this twisted tale of poison, greed, and one seriously shady business model.

Did Amy love money more than morals?

How did she manage to keep the bodies piling up for years without getting caught?

How did her crimes inspire one of Broadway’s most famous dark comedies?

Warning: If you have a grandma who loves baking and mysteriously mentions life insurance, you may want to double-check that tea she just poured you.

The Pandemonium team is back, and this time, we’re diving into one of the most chilling and frustrating unsolved murders caught on camera.

What do you get when you mix a Star Wars-loving, Harry Potter-obsessed woman, a mysterious hooded figure, and a brazen execution in broad daylight? You get the case of Elizabeth Barraza - a crime that is as senseless as it is terrifying.

Join Cat and Rachel as they break down the haunting final moments of Elizabeth’s life: a normal morning in her Texas driveway, setting up for a garage sale, until a hooded figure approaches, speaks to her briefly, and then - without warning - opens fire.

Who was the killer?

Why did they seem so calm and calculated?

How the hell has no one been arrested, despite the crime being caught on video?

We’re talking mystery cars, eerie coincidences, a still-grieving husband, and a motive that just doesn’t add up. Buckle up, because this case will have you double-checking your security cameras and side-eyeing every hooded figure in sight.

04/25/2025: S1.E76: Her Dad is An Alleged Cereal Keeler: Unpacking Dr. John Trefil & The Zodiac Kill

This week, it’s just your favorite witches, Cat and Rachel, flying full-speed into the most chilling true crime rabbit hole we've ever fallen into. A viral Facebook post from Mendocino County has ignited whispers, gasps, and full-blown Zodiac Killer theories - because one woman claims her own father is not only a mass un-aliver, but possibly the infamous Zodiac.

Dr. Jon Charles Trefil, a retired psychiatrist who is now living in a care facility, is at the center of this wild and terrifying storm. His daughter, Galina, has spent years trying to get law enforcement to take her seriously, and now the internet has joined in on the investigation.

She was just 7 years old, riding her bike in her New Jersey neighborhood, when she had disappeared. Megan Kanka’s murder in 1994 shocked the nation - not just because of its brutality, but because her killer was a previously convicted sex offender living right across the street - and no one knew.

In this episode, Cat and Rachel dive into the heartbreaking case of Megan Kanka and how her death led to sweeping legal reform: Megan’s Law, a policy that forced states to make information about registered sex offenders publicly accessible. But has it worked? And what are the lasting impacts - both good and controversial?

Join Cat and Rachel as they explore the tragedy, the legacy, and the laws meant to protect the next Megan from ever being forgotten.

07/18/2025: S1.E88: The Train Came, Trunks Stayed: The Horrifying Case of Winnie Ruth Judd

We had to re-upload this video with LESS ECHO - because our sound boards are possessed, as we too are haunted houses!

This week, the gang unpacks the scandalous and sensational story of Winnie Ruth Judd, dubbed “The Trunk Murderess” by the press.

In 1931, two women were found dismembered and stuffed into steamer trunks, and Winnie was on the run. But was she a cold-blooded killer, or the perfect scapegoat in a case full of lies, jealousy, and possible cover-ups?

Rachel, Cat, and Em dive into the mystery, the media circus, and the mental health questions that still swirl around this case nearly a century later.

Old Hollywood vibes. True crime madness. A train ticket and a couple of trunks soaked in secrets. Let’s unfortunately dive into it.

07/25/2025: S1.E89: S if for South Dakota: Badlands, Ghost Towns, and Outlaws

Welcome back Party Possums!

(We had to re-upload this video with LESS ECHO - because our sound boards are possessed, as we too are haunted houses!)

In this haunted episode, Cat and Rachel are hitting the road again, this time deep into the rugged heart of South Dakota.

From haunted hotels and crumbling ghost towns to the chilling legends of the Black Hills, the gang uncovers the stories that history tried to bury.

You'll hear about the restless spirits at the Hotel Alex Johnson, a penitentiary with a murderous past, and the unsettling tales from Fort Sisseton. Plus, a look into the twisted crimes that shook this quiet state, because even the wide-open plains can’t hide everything.

Buckle up. South Dakota is way spookier than you think.

08/01/2025: S1.E90: Brotherhood, B0mbings, & Bloodshed: The Crimes of Chevie Kehoe & Daniel Lee

Cat and Rachel dive into one of the darkest corners of America's extremist underground - the violent, hate-fueled world of Chevie Kehoe and Daniel Lee.

Raised on white supremacist ideology and armed with a terrifying sense of purpose, their paths would lead to robbery, murder, and an alleged connection to the Oklahoma City bombing.

This episode unpacks their ties to the Aryan Nations, his twisted interpretation of polygamy and religion, and the horrific crimes committed in the name of his so-called revolution.

Strap in - this one’s a heavy descent into radicalization, family betrayal, and the monstrous power of belief gone wrong.

08/15/2025: S1.E92 - Russia’s Worst Duchess: The Blood Duchess, The Case of Darya Saltykova

The Pandemonium team is back - and this time, Cat, Rachel, Meg, and Em are headed to 18th-century Russia, where the tea is hot, the winters are cold, and the noblewomen are absolutely monstrous.

Meet Darya Nikolayevna Saltykova, better known as The Blood Duchess: a wealthy widow who spent her free time brutally unaliving her serfs and complaining to God about her love life. Was she a sadistic serial unaliver hiding behind holy icons, or just the Russian aristocracy’s answer to “bad vibes only”?

The crew digs into the blood-soaked snow of history, decoding Darya’s divine excuses, wildly inefficient murder methods, and extremely unrelatable lifestyle.

Come for the history, stay for the petty vengeance, and the historical hauntings.

08/22/2025: S1.E93: John Arthur Getreu: Santa Clara’s Predator Hidden in Plain Sight

In this episode, Cat, Rachel, and Em take a somber look at the life and crimes of John Arthur Getreu - a man who lived quietly in the shadows for decades while carrying the weight of horrific murders but not denying a single word.

From his early conviction overseas to the cold cases that haunted Stanford University for nearly half a century, we trace how advances in DNA finally brought the truth to light.

This is not a story of mystery or myth, but one of long-delayed justice for the women whose lives he stole.

08/29/2025: S1.E94: Die, Laugh, Love, & Arsenic: The Case of Nannie Doss AKA the Gigglin' Granny

The Pandemonium team is back, and this week Rachel and Cat turn their attention to unravelling the nauseating case of another arsenic killer. She was known by many nicknames - the Giggling Granny, the Jolly Black Widow, and even the Lonely Hearts Killer - behind her cheerful nickname lurked one of the deadliest women in true crime history.

With arsenic as her weapon of choice, Nannie left behind a string of poisoned husbands, family members, and anyone unlucky enough to stand in her way. She was a woman who turned love, family, and even pie into murder weapons.

From her string of poisoned husbands to her shocking confessions, we explore how charm, laughter, and arsenic made her one of America’s most infamous killers - and update our ongoing “Why is it Always Arsenic?” tally, which now stands at 6.

Grab your coffee (just maybe not if she made it), and settle in for a darkly fascinating ride.

09/19/2025: S1.E97 - Murder by the Teaspoon: Adelaide Bartlett and the Chloroform Mystery

The Pandemonium team is back, and this week Rachel and Cat dive into the strange and scandalous case of Adelaide Bartlett - at the center of one of Victorian England’s most puzzling trials. When Adelaide’s husband was found dead in 1886 with an alarming amount of chloroform in his stomach, suspicion quickly turned toward the clever and enigmatic wife. Was she a cold-blooded poisoner, an unfairly accused woman, or simply caught in a tangle of love, betrayal, and Victorian double standards? From the courtroom drama that fascinated the public to the enduring mystery of how the chloroform got there, we explore a case that still baffles true crime historians today. Grab your coffee (but maybe skip the mystery additives), and join us as we unravel Adelaide Bartlett’s deadly puzzle.

09/29/2025 - S1.E99 - Medicine & Murder: The Deadly Career of Genene Jones

The Pandemonium team is back, and this week Rachel and Cat turn their attention to Janine Jones - better known as the “Angel of Death.” As a pediatric nurse in Texas during the 1980s, Jones is suspected of taking the lives of as many as 60 children while working in hospitals and clinics.

Convicted of murder and injury to a child, she left behind a trail of heartbreak, unanswered questions, and outrage at the medical system that failed to stop her sooner. From her chilling methods to the lasting impact on the families of her tiny victims, we unravel the dark legacy of one of history’s most notorious medical killers.

Grab your coffee (and maybe hug your loved ones a little tighter), because this one is as haunting as it gets.

10/01/2025: S1.E100 - Albuquerque, New Mexico’s Unsolved Serial Killer: The West Mesa Missing

The Pandemonium team is back, and this week Cat, Rachel, and Meg turn their focus to one of New Mexico’s darkest mysteries - the West Mesa Murders. In 2009, a woman walking her dog stumbled across human bones on Albuquerque’s West Mesa.

What followed was the shocking discovery of 11 women buried in the desert, all believed to be victims of a still-unidentified serial killer. Despite years of investigation, theories, and suspects, the case remains unsolved, leaving families without answers and a community haunted by the thought of a predator who may still be out there.

From the victims’ stories to the hunt for the so-called “West Mesa Bone Collector,” we unravel the chilling mystery that still casts a long shadow over Albuquerque.

((For this particular episode, Cat took their mugshots and created high school yearbook photos for each of the victims - as they should be remembered for who they were - not what they did for work.))

Get your hydration station ready (and maybe don’t go walking alone in the desert), as we dive into this haunting case.
